Moreover, you get to witness sublime culturally and traditionally rich villages, stunning waterfalls and water streams and attractive floras and faunas. Tilicho lake trekking starts from Besisahar following the trails of Marsayangdi River passing through several villages namely Dharapani, Chame, Pisang, Manang, Khangsar and finally to Tilicho Lake. These villages are inhabited by a widely diversified community from different ethnic group giving you an opportunity to learn about the culture and tradition of the local folks making this trip more exciting and rewarding.
The toughest part of this trek is to cross the highest pass in Nepal, Thorung La Pass (5416m). Here the oxygen level is very low and one is at high risk to get high altitude sickness symptoms. Crossing Thorung La pass, the trek leads to Muktinath temple, one of the holiest shrines of Hindus and Buddhist all over the world. After spending some beautiful moments at this stunning holy temple, we will visit Jomsom and finally return to the city of lakes – Pokhara and back to Kathmandu.
