Every year thousands of pilgrimages trek to Gosainkunda to take a holy bath in this sacred lake. During Janai Purnima in full moon of August, you can find large numbers of Hindu pilgrimage flock to this site to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva and you can also witness Shamans performing an exotic spiritual dance in the lakeside.

Gosainkunda Lake trek journey starts from an hour drive to Sundarijal followed by a trek to Chisapani from Kathmandu. Chisapani lies in Shivapuri National Park and gateway to Gosainkunda Lake trek.
