Chitwan National Park is the first national park of Nepal covering an area of 932 square kilometres and is UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. Chitwan National Park is famous for the one-horned Rhinos, Bengal tiger, hog deer, and gharial. Jungle Safari, elephant safari, boating and animal and bird watching are the most popular refreshing activities in Chitwan National Park. Tharu are the indigenous people of the Terai region of Nepal.
